Anyone ever have a county interview? If so how long did you have to wait for a responce?

I just went on an interview for the county two weeks ago. They said that it will take them about 2-3 weeks to mail me back a letter to see if I qualify for the second one. I am getting more and more anxious as I wait, so I'm just wondering if anyone has had experience with the government and how long it normally takes. I thought I did well but you never know, do they normally call you or do they actually send a letter? If so what does the letter say? By the way this is for an auditing position. Thanks for your advice and wisdom.
